Date Paste

Naturally sweet meal-prep must.

If you eat a whole-food diet or just prefer to limit refined sugar, delicious homemade date paste is a wonderful, all-natural sweet substitute that is caramel-like and oh so delicious! With the Vibe Blender System, the process is simple. Soaking dates and blending them creates a sticky, sweet, rich, paste that is 100% natural and boasts impressive health benefits as a bonus.

Making delicious homemade date paste is much more cost-efficient than anything storebought as well. We blended the pricy Medjool variety and cheaper cooking dates to compare the taste and texture and discovered it’s not at all necessary to use expensive dates. With the high-speed Vibe blender and heat tolerant stainless-steel jug, even the driest dates will transform into a velvety smooth paste perfect for breakfasts and beyond.

ADD INS

Enhance the flavour of delicious homemade date paste by adding a dash of vanilla bean paste, a pinch of cinnamon or salt during blending. These subtle additions will take your date paste to the next level.

QUANTITY

This recipe makes a large batch, but with so many ways to use it, it won’t last long. The number of dates needed will depend on the variety you use. 350 grams of dates is the minimum quantity you can use for this recipe, anything less will not blend. If you’re using Medjool dates, you’ll first need to remove the pits. To do so, just pull the date in half by hand and remove the pits.

STORING HOMEMADE DATE PASTE

You can store homemade date paste in the refrigerator for up to a month. Glass jars with tight fitting lids are the best option because they are airtight and do not absorb flavours or odours. To enjoy your delicious homemade date paste for as long as possible, store it in a Luvele Fresh glass vacuum container.
